Scheme Overview & Objective

CSR flagship of LIC supporting youth from economically distressed backgrounds in completing professional and graduation courses.

Who Can Apply? (Detailed Eligibility Matrix)

Target Education Level	Undergraduate
Minimum Qualification	Passed Class 10 or 12 with >= 60% marks
Academic Disciplines / Streams	Medicine, Engineering, Graduation in any discipline, Diploma, ITI
Family Income Limit	Gross annual family income must not exceed ₹250000 from all sources.
Minimum Academic Score	Minimum 60.0% marks or equivalent CGPA in qualifying exam.
Gender Eligibility	Open to All Genders (Male, Female, Transgender)
Social Reservation Category	All
Domicile / Residence	All India

Statutory Rule: Full-time regular attendance is compulsory. Students enrolled in private/distance correspondence degrees are generally ineligible unless explicitly stated in guidelines.

Financial Benefits & Allowances

₹15,000 to ₹40,000 per annum

₹40,000/year for Medicine; ₹30,000/year for Engineering; ₹20,000/year for General Graduation; ₹15,000/year for Special Girl Scholar.

Disbursement Mode: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into the beneficiary's Aadhaar-seeded active savings bank account via PFMS.
